Here are some current deals for Home Theater Projector:
i would like to buy a home theater projector how do i know which kind/brand has the best quality?
picture durability and just overall best one!
Here is a general price range for various DLP projectors which I prefer since it's going to be the standard technology for movie houses which will project digital images; not LCDs:
1. 480i [covers standard movie DVDs] and these are older projectors going back to 2005: $700 to $900;
2. 720i [covers HD broadcast T.V.] and are currently available for sale: $1,100 to $2,200;
3. 1080i [covers Blu-Ray and some limited HD 1080 broadcasts] and are currently available only at specialty hi-end video stores or on the net from the manufacturer: $2,300 and upwards.
Here are my personal recommendations:
1. 480i = a refurbished Infocus SP4805 with built-in speaker for $560 from amazon.com;
2. 720i = a new Infocus X9 for $1,100 with built-in speaker from infocus.com;
3. 1080i - a new Infocus X10 for $2,230 from projectorpeople.com.
