Radeon 9600 Keystone Correction?
Is there any software I can use to obtain keystone correction on a n ATI Radeon 9600 video card?
I'm playing emulators and divx files on a front crt projection tv that's been re-purposed into a general purpose projector. Trouble is that it doesn't have keystone built in & I want to lift the picture off of the floor (it sits an inch off the ground). I need a software solution for keystone correction. I know the comprable Nvidia cards have this feature in hardware / drivers, but I'd really like to find software or a driver to do the correction without buying any more hardware since the card's adequate for my purposes & really stable.
Anybody know anything that does keystone?
Unfortunately ATI is a gamer driven company, as a result there is no ATI keystone software in existence. Also third party imaging/occulation software does not actively support Catalyst software at this time (I dont know why). This is why most IT's generally prefer Nvidia over ATI for non gaming purposes. What I have done in the past is physically measure the distortion and then write a simple translation alogorithm to correct the problem. You can process the original file through the alogorithm, however there is extreme latency with this method.if there is anyone else with a better suggestion I would liketo hear it also.
