Is blu ray worth it on a 23inch Samsung 720p Bedroom TV?
I currently use my xbox 360 elite to upconvert dvds and they look great. I rented the dark knight off of netflix and it looked near hd quality. My question is would I see a great difference (if any?) if I jumped into blu ray on such a small screen? Or should I stick with what I got?
You have 720p; you might as well use it. With a standard definition DVD player you're getting 480p at best. Upconversion is a minor improvement compared to actual HD resolution. Will you see a big difference in picture quality on such a small screen? I don't know. But BD features and menus are a big step up from DVD. You need to decide whether to risk the $250 or so on a decent BD player to find out.
