Any projector reccommendations?
I could use some ideas for a home theater projector, my budget for the projector is about $1200 not including the screen or any mounting accessories. The projector will be in the basement in a dark area. Thanks in advance!
You have a ton of options for $1200 or less. You can even get a package that includes a screen and mount for that price.

Hitachi PJ-TX100 - 720p (high-definition LCD) projector for $689.

(It's discontinued, and a couple years old, so the price is really cheap. Probably should buy one quickly)
Mitsubishi HD1000U (high definition DLP) projector for $899

A white wall with some black masking will save you some money too.
Personally I would
- Get the Hitachi TX100
- Paint my basement wall (or hang a painters drop cloth... or make a screen),
